Anybody home? Is this contest running?

I tried emailing via the address on the Registration page, but don't have access. So I'll just post this here:

I'm in the ChallengePost NoSQL App Challenge, but don't have a provisioned OR instance yet. Can somebody press the "provision instance" button please?

btw, running a contest around your service and saying it could take a week just to get a response so I can start building, doesn't leave the best first impression for developers or imply that you'll be in any way responsive when I actually do need some support on a Production instance...

    Hi nicholasareed,

Thank you so much for your message, feedback, and interest in the NoSQL Mobile App Challenge.

As noted on the ObjectRocket sign-up instructions, after you complete the form, ObjectRocket will create an instance for you within 5-7 business days and a credit (up to 5GB/ $95 per month) will be added to your ObjectRocket account for the duration of the competition. You will be notified by email once your instance is created.

We will do our best to get you up and running as quickly as possible and we appreciate your patience!

    Best,

Well, that was definitely an encouragingly quick response! Thank you.

From my perspective, I'd recommend fixing the contact email on the homepage, and doing whatever it takes to get that 5-7 day process down to 24 hours at most. You have awesome developers, so I'm guessing it is 5-7 days of internal paper-shuffling, which doesn't reflect well on your company.

You're welcome! Can you please tell me what contact email you are referring to? I will check it out.

    Thanks!

I agree with Nicholas and I would emphasize concern that requesting an account only opened on August 7, 2014, which is when I requested mine as I could not request any earlier. If our goal was use ObjectRocket, this means that we lose between 5-7 business days immediately in time to work with the platform (including any non-business days: such as this last weekend). Can we expect a related extension to the deadline (i.e. past the original Nov. 4th deadline) to factor in this limitation? Thanks!

    Hi DanielPronych,

Thanks for writing! There are no plans at this time to extend the deadline, however, if anything should change all registrants will be notified through email.

Thank you for participating and best of luck!

    Stefanie
